TEMPERATURE@LERT monitors the ambient temperature and alerts you via email when it rises or falls outside your acceptable range. The temperature sensor is accurate to within ±0.5°C and can report tempertures from -40°F to +200°F. Temperature@lert connects to your pc via an available USB port and runs as a windows service. Powered by your computer’s USB port, it never needs new batteries or an AC power adapter. The customizable alert message can be sent continuously or just once when an alert is triggered. Realtime graphing and XML support provide you with the tools you need to integrate temperature readings into websites and other third party applications.

Configuring Temperature@lert is easy. Just edit the default settings in the configuration menu and click "Save and Apply". You can even view the logs on a website by setting the log directory to a folder inside your webroot:




A standard text file log is created allowing for easy report integration with Excel and other applications:




An XML Log is also created:




Temperature@lert automatically generates a graph of the current day's temperatures and places it in the log file directory:




An XML file containing only the last temperature reading is created and placed in the log file directory:

Great Product very easy to configure and use November 9, 2007

I have been using this product now for about 10 months and it has been the best thing in the world for me. During one of our VERY hot summer days in Southern California I had problem with the AC unit in my server room and was able to get into the office before I had major problems. Without this device running I am sure I would have lost a couple of servers before Monday morning.

I would recommend this product to ANYBODY needing to monitor their room temperatures.

Nice product and works well so kudo's to you.  I don't have a big network but I will tell the people who work with this stuff that I know about your device.  We have a computer room that is vital to the company and we have the luxury of a KVM from our desk so it doesn't get visited.  Hence the tree falls in the woods..... no one knows when the AC goes out until we hear the servers fans all running so loud.  This little beauty will give us the ability to avert disaster.

I really like your product, it saved my server room last week.  The fancy building/security systems didn’t kick in until 15 minutes after your alert.   I was already on my way to fix the problem before our security department even knew there was one.    Phew, thanks!

Accurate and flexible March 27, 2007

The product works as advertised and is extremely accurate. It is easily configured and enables very accurate environmental temperature monitoring.
Put the sensor inside your PC to monitor internal temperatures or outside your PC to monitor ambient temperatures. Put it in a waterproof plastic bag and stick it in your fish tank to monitor water temperature!

Version 3.0 of the software resolves many concerns I had with the earlier versions.

I wrote an application that polls the log files and manipulates the data for my own database/server monitoring.

I'd give it 5 stars except for a wishlist for future hardware/software updates:
Ability to automatically clean up old log files
Option to write HTML pages instead of XML pages
More flexibility in the graphing option (ability to show a range of time scales)
More compact hardware

First off, I have to commend you on a great product. Why is it  so great? Because it’s SIMPLE and it WORKS!!!!! And it runs as an NT service, which means it’s reliable.

This leads me to my next question – I’m looking to purchase these for all of my clients, probably around 40-50 in total. Can you give me a break on price?
