Mayday! Mayday! USB & WIFI Users Want SMS Texts!

We have been hearing a lot recently about USB and WIFI users' demands for SMS text capabilities. So we decided to share this helpful tip with you: most cell phone carriers offer free e-mail to SMS gateways which basically forward plain text e-mails to cell phones. Essentially all you require is the cell phone number and the number's mobile carrier in order to start sending SMS texts from your device.

For example, one AT&T format is [10-digit phone number]@txt.att.net

Best part about using SMS gateways, is that it's of no extra cost to use such a feature. A basic list of SMS gateways are available here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_SMS_gateways If you do not see your provider, please contact them and ask about an Email2SMS feature.

By following this method, you will be able to have your Temperature@lert USB and WIFI devices text you alerts. If you have any questions please email us at support@temperaturealert.com, we're always here to help!
