Many of the founders of Temperature@lert met at MIT. All were interested in the transformative nature of Software as a Service (SaaS), Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication, and Web 2.0 business concepts. In May of 2005, the company was officially founded and funded. For more information about them, see our Team page.
The most critical aspect of any company's day to day activities revolve around temperature. Everything within a company is seamless and efficient when the temperature is at appropriate levels. When temperature exceeds these levels many horrendous events can occur such as server meltdowns, loss of data, even unhappy (and possibly sweaty) co-workers. These events cost time and money to replace/repair damaged goods.
At Temperature@lert, we firmly believe that companies in every industry should take a proactive stance in monitoring temperatures to avert disasters. We have built excellent products that help companies remotely manage temperatures in server rooms, refrigerators, and even homes.
For more information about why we started Temperature@lert, read this blog entry on budget friendly server room cooling methods.
Temperature@lert's vision is to provide companies and individuals with temperature monitoring tools that alleviate customer worries about system malfunctions or product damage due to temperature.
